As a SAP Project Manager & Logistics Architect, will use different parts of the SAP modules of IM/WM and knowledge of other related modules (SD/PP/MM) on a daily basis. While working closely with members of the SAP Project team and clients, SAP Project Manager will be responsible for the configuration and delivery tasks related to project management and will ensure resolution within budget and project scope. Duties include: As project leader, will be involved from A to Z of project delivery, which includes analysis, blueprinting, customizing, documentation and training, up until the ‘go live’ and support. Participate in key-user training sessions with the clients and be the first point of contact for colleagues and customers for all project management or architectural questions. Take ownership of the architectural design in the logistical domains of the customer solution. Design and effectively communicate strategy, solutions, configuration, custom developments, training, testing and support for the assigned SAP modules. Provide effective management and oversight for project resources including developing and adhering to budget constraints, coordinating of project staffing, monitoring project status, and reporting to project steering committee and other key stakeholders; Perform pre-sales work and collaboratewith the sales team to negotiate with potential customers for proposed SAP projects and  negotiate the contract  related to project organization. Oversee SAP consultant team and lead scoping/ design/ implementation/ training on complex logistics/ warehouse modules for SAP ERP engagements for U.S. clients; Supervise the gathering and analysis of clients’ business needs and the development of functional requirements; Build solutions architectures taking business requirements and strategy into acccount; Support and own Innovation intiatives related to the new S/4HANA Cloud platform; Be a knowledge center within the organization on the industries of Automotive, Food and engineering; Provide thought leadership and hands on delivery in both the internal and external logistical domains (SAP eWM, PTP, OTC); Train junior consultants on logistics/warehouse modules and utilize proprietary company procedures to transfer company technology to clients in the U.S.; Guide users during testing and make adjustments based on feedback;  and Authorize the “go-live” phases and be available in case problems occur on SAP projects.

75% Domestic and international travel required to various unanticipated client sites. Position is eligible for telecommuting from any U.S. home office location.

ALL Position Requirements:

Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Management, or a related field and 5 years of experience in a global project management position overseeing the development of SAP logistics/warehouse modules.

Experience must include, which may be gained concurrently:

  • 5 years of professional experience as an SAP consultant (SAP ECC or S/4HANA);
  • 5 years of proven delivery experience in the SAP logistical domains: WM and eWM with integration to PTP, OTC & PTM;
  • 4 years of experience with Global Program Management;
  • 3 years of experience as an architect in logistics/warehouse domains (WM);
  • 3 years of experience coaching or leading project team;
  • 2 years of experience with S/4HANA Cloud to include live demonstrations;
  • 2 years of experience with SAP S/4 Cloud architecture and in differences between S/4 On-Prem, S/4 Single Tenant and S/4 Multitenant;
  • 2 years of experience implementing interfaces between SAP and different 3rd party solutions or products; and
  • Experience with at least 5 end-to-end SAP implementations, of which at least 2 have been global in nature.
