Duties

Analyze user needs, develop, and implement SAP data migration solutions and deliver customized SAP Solutions for clients to optimize their operational efficiency. 

Job Duties include:

  • Design customized SAP data migration programs and solutions for client use with the aim of optimizing operational efficiency.
  • Build, test, execute and manage data migrations utilizing tools such as SAP or SAP Data Services solutions;
  • Recognize critical elements of complex software application problems to develop and evaluate data to determine solutions, and make recommendations when implementing SAP data migration solutions;
  • Utilize expertise in computer science and SAP systems to ensure the data migration design supports global business requirements;
  • Drive the continual development of the SAP data migration templates and configurations;
  • Drive SAP data migration implementations for key client accounts in the U.S.;
  • Provide advisory services to the business and to clients to understand data management issues and advise on appropriate data migration and management strategies and techniques;

    8. Utilize data migration methods and tools to create technical specification documents

    9. Design SAP data mapping, data cleansing, data extract creation and validation, designing and testing load programs;

    10. Manage repeatable data load and migration process for SAP implementations;

    11. Work with the client data to manage the Data Migration team responsible for identifying, extracting, cleaning, mapping, loading both the master data sets & transactional data sets from multiple sources into SAP system.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree (or foreign equivalent) in Computer Science, Applied Computer Science or a closely related field, followed by 5 years of experience in a software development-related occupation.

Experience must include the following, which may have been gained concurrently:

  • 5 years of experience managing the data migration process, from strategy and planning, through to execution and go-live. 
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing data standardization and validation routines to improve data quality prior to migration. 
  • 5 years of experience designing and developing software/tools for data processing. 
  • 5 years of experience designing, developing & managing the automation solutions. 
  • 5 years of experience implementing and optimizing ETL processes using SAP Data Services. 
  • 5 years of experience integrating SAP and non-SAP data with SAP Data Services data flows. 
  • 5 years of experience conducting workshops with client personnel, peers and techno-functional consultants, and documenting business requirements. 
  • 5 years of experience working directly with clients to validate requirements for cleansing and standardizing existing legacy master data and provide custom configurations in unique environments. 
  • 5 years of experience designing and implementing data parsing routines for extraction of attribute data from source systems. 

Additional Details

  • Position is eligible for telecommuting from any U.S. home office location. 
  • Up to 80% travel required to various unanticipated client sites in the U.S
