SAP Development Lead

As an SAP Platform Development Lead at delaware, you own the technical delivery of SAP development projects. You lead a team of developers working with CAP, UI5/Fiori, and ABAP Cloud. You make the architecture calls, coordinate between our Belgian teams and our offshore colleagues and make sure what we ship actually solves the customer’s problem.

You’re not writing code full-time, but you stay close enough to jump into a code review, unblock a deployment issue, or prototype something when the situation calls for it. You’re equally comfortable discussing Clean Core strategy with a customer’s IT lead and reviewing a RAP implementation with a junior developer.

Beyond project delivery, you grow your people. You run performance reviews, identify development paths, and help your team members level up — whether that’s a developer learning CAP or a senior stepping into an architecture role.

Our SAP Platform Development team has over 70 people working across the full modern SAP stack: CAP (Node.js and Java), UI5/Fiori Elements, ABAP Cloud and RAP, SAP Build, HANA Cloud, and the broader BTP service portfolio. We work in every sector, across every SAP module, and on projects ranging from greenfield S/4HANA implementations to targeted BTP extensions.

We have offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Lummen, Liège, and Wavre, but we also spend a lot of time working on-site at our customers or from home. Flexibility is built into how we work.

• You have 7+ years of experience in SAP development, with meaningful exposure to BTP-based projects. You’ve shipped production solutions — not just proofs of concept.
• You have technical breadth. You understand how CAP, UI5, and ABAP fit together in a modern SAP landscape and can make informed technology choices.
• Leadership is your strong suit. You’ve led teams (formally or informally) and know how to give direction, delegate effectively, and have the hard conversations when needed.
• You are cut from the right consulting cloth: proactive, a good communicator, comfortable in front of customers, and able to translate technical complexity into business language.
• Dutch is your native language or you’ve become fluent over your professional career. You communicate clearly in English. French is a plus.
• Any supplementary knowledge of RISE with SAP, Clean Core methodology, SAP Build, SAP Integration Suite, or SAP AI Core is a big plus.
