Think support is handling ticket after ticket? Not in this role. As the main point of contact for clients but also the thought leader of your team—your responsibilities go beyond fixing errors when they arrive.
You’re one step ahead of them. As an Azure Support Engineer, you make sure our cloud environments run like clockwork while spotting opportunities to make them even better.

Who are we?

In this role, you are part of the Microsoft Platform Engineering team, embracing Microsoft cloud technologies as we implement business applications and custom solutions for our customers. We exist to make sure developers focus on development while we architect, set up & maintain the cloud platform

For Microsoft Azure-specific tasks, you’ll fit in the Infrastructure team with a focus on managed services. This is still a young role—one where you’ll lay the groundwork and help the Azure Support team grow to its full potential. 

We work where we work best, when we work best. delaware has its offices in Antwerp, Ghent, Kortrijk, Liège, Lummen, and Wavre. In this role, you could travel to meet with clients and give presentations and recommendations. Most of your work will be based on delaware grounds (and from the comfort of your home, of course).

What will you be doing?

As someone who has worked on project pitches before—you know the rush of selling an idea. But the rush of being a support engineer hits different. You keep the client satisfied and work closely with project leads to make sure the client’s experience stays as strong post-launch as it was on day one. You’ll be a 2nd and 3rd line support engineer for a steady portfolio of enterprise clients. It’s all about quick wins, clear ownership, and visible results. 

 Your work consists of 

  • Working the queue – helping both clients and colleagues handle ad-hoc issues. 

  • Monitoring and analysing the client’s needs—spotting recurring issues and anticipating them before they escalate. 

  • Launching initiatives that make us work smarter and deliver better service across the board. 

  • Staying on top of Azure trends and sharing your knowledge through internal sessions, conferences, or events. 

  • Shaping delaware’s growing support engineering team and working closely with project consultants to strengthen our end-to-end solutions. 

Is there a match?

You’re focused on the future. Seeking improvements and helping others out feels like second nature to you. Yes, you know how to extinguish the fire when everything is up in flames—but you prefer to keep the heat at bay. You’re not looking to be a leader—but you do like to take the lead. Within your own scope and for your client portfolio. 

If you also: 

  • have solid experience in public cloud project work and are ready for a new kind of challenge: short feedback loops, clear ownership, and true responsibility 

  • are an independent worker, happy to take the end responsibility of certain tasks 

  • are a natural collaborator and communicator, comfortable working directly with customers 

  • are familiar with Iaas, Paas, virtual machines: web, IoT, data, serverless,... and are eager to stay on top of the trends 

  • are fluent in Dutch and understand English well
