Experience and Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
10+ years of experience in SAP MDG full life-cycle implementation and support.
Strong understanding of data governance principles and master data lifecycle management.
Proficiency in SAP MDG configuration, workflow design, and data modeling. The ideal candidate should be able to design end-to-end governance processes, set up approval processes, and set up replication models
Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, SAP ECC, and integration tools like SAP Data Services, BTP Integration Suite, Dell Boomi

Role Requirements

An SAP MDG Application Consultant is responsible for designing, implementing, and supporting SAP Master Data Governance solutions that ensure high-quality, consistent, and compliant master data across the enterprise. This role involves working closely with business stakeholders, data stewards, and technical teams to align data governance initiatives with organizational goals.

Solution Design & Implementation: Design and configure SAP MDG solutions including data models, workflows, validations, and user interfaces. Implement governance processes for master data domains such as Material, Business Partner, and Finance
Business Requirements & Process Modeling: Collaborate with business users to gather and analyze data governance requirements. Translate them into functional specifications and process models
Workflow & Data Quality Management: Configure and maintain workflows for data creation, change, and approval. Implement validation and de-duplication rules to ensure data accuracy and integrity
Integration & Replication: Set up data replication mechanisms between MDG and other systems (e.g., Dell Boomi, SAP S/4HANA). Ensure seamless integration with enterprise applications
Testing & Deployment: Conduct unit testing, system integration testing (SIT), and user acceptance testing (UAT). Support cutover activities and go-live preparation
Documentation & Training: Prepare user manuals, training materials, and project documentation. Conduct knowledge transfer sessions for key users and stakeholders

SAP MDG (Material, Business Partner, Finance domains)
Workflow configuration and process modeling
Data validation and de-duplication
SAP NetWeaver, ABAP (basic understanding)
Analytical thinking and problem-solving
Strong communication and stakeholder management
Experience with Agile and Waterfall project methodologies
